Event Registration - CLASS: Landscape Irrigation Contractor Refresher Class

This half day class will ensure irrigation contractors in the state of Illinois that already have a Certified Irrigation Contractor certification through the Irrigation Association are updated on the Illinois Plumbing Code and have the most up-to-date training to work on irrigation systems within the state. You will learn about the irrigation specific practices relating to backflow prevention and the Illinois plumbing code as it relates to irrigation, hydraulics, soil-plant-water relationship. Precipitation rates and irrigation scheduling, and basic electrical troubleshooting. The Class will provide a review of Illinois plumbing code and how it relates to irrigation con This class qualifies for IDPH's Illinois Irrigation Contractor continuing education requirement (4 hours), To meet IDPH requirements, an assessment must be completed at the end of the course.

      The Toro Company
      Craig Borland, CIC, CID, CIT, CLIA, CLWM, has worked for The Toro Company for the past 20 years. During that time, he has managed the controller repair department and the service center repair program. He also held positions as warranty administrator, inside sales representative, and is currently working as a senior customer resource specialist in the irrigation division's customer resource center. Craig provides technical support for the engineering, legal, technical support and marketing departments, and the Toro Micro Irrigation division, among many others. He holds a B.S. degree in fruit science with a minor in ornamental horticulture from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. He has also been an Irrigation Association instructor for the past 12 years.
