      Assoc. Prof/Extension Specialist/ Irrigation Engineer
      Kansas State University
      Jonathan Aguilar, PhD, joined Kansas State University's Southwest Research and Extension Center in 2012 as an assistant professor and water resource/irrigation engineer. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from University of the Philippines-Los Baños in agricultural engineering, with a focus on land and water resources. As a university researcher at UPLB, Aguilar handled several water resource-related projects with the UPLB Foundation, the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization. After earning his doctorate from K-State in 2009, Aguilar worked for the Agricultural Research Services in Sidney, Montana, and in Mandan, North Dakota, where his research included remote sensing of crop residue and spatiotemporal analysis of U.S. crop diversity. Aguilar's current research is focused on water resource issues as they pertain to irrigated agriculture in western Kansas, in particular, technology adoption and improved irrigation management.

      Kansas State University Research and Extension
      Danny Rogers, PE, PhD, ASABE Fellow, is a Kansas native who was raised on a northeast Kansas farm. Rogers attended Kansas State University for his bachelor's and master's degrees and received his doctorate from Oklahoma State University. Rogers is a licensed professional engineer and a professor and extension engineer for the K-State Research and Extension Center's department of biological and agricultural engineering. He began his career with KSRE in 1977 and currently serves as BAE's extension state leader.
