Irrigation system design aimed at preventing clogging should include filtration systems. Filtration systems can include screen, media or disc filters that can either be manual, requiring an operator to manually remove the filter element(s) and wash or replace them, or semi-automatic or automatically self-cleaning. Criteria for the selection of the proper solution for the application should include filtration degree, flow rate, inlet pressure, water source and water quality, and type of installation. Amiad's solutions cover from the simple manual screen filter to protect small property systems to a self-cleaning automatic screen filter with digital controller and remote control for complex landscape management requirements.
